Fabulous Fashion Friday--Summer Style with Fall Flourishes

As warm August breezes bring Autumn's first falling leaves, we're preparing for the exciting Fall fashions, just ahead.  Yet, it is hot and muggy outside and we want to continue to enjoy our Summer styles. So we styled two looks today, directly from our models own wardrobes, with a few Kick It flourishes to give these cool looks a transitional Fall-is-Coming feel.

Our model is wearing her favorite stretch mini-skirt under a double layered modal racerback tank (super soft & cool-to-the-touch fabric), and topped with a dark wash chambray denim workshirt.  She layered two Sterling Silver & gemstone necklaces (one long, one short) from Frankie Says' Summer Beach Collection, and finished the look with Sunburst print stilettos.  The outfit is so Summery yet the denim long sleeve layering shirt adds that hint of Fall.

Her mixed, yet elegant jewelry really dresses up this otherwise casual summer outfit.  We are in love with those Rose-Gold hoop earrings from Ponytail.

We love the super narrow mini paired with the loose and boxy workshirt.  The sexy stillettos takes it the next level.

Finally, a rust pashmina adds a flourish of our favorite Autumn hue and signals the chilly nights just ahead.

Our next model is wearing one of her favorite lace-overlay tunics in one of Summer's most graceful colors: Ivory.  She topped this over black capri leggings and simple gold sandals. We added interest with two complementary necklaces (one long, one short) from ShayD Design Summer Boho-Chic collection from Ponytail, then completed the look with a cropped, dip-dyed denim jacket.

This lovely summer palette of black, gold, ivory and a flourish of bright denim blue will transition beautifully to Fall. Once it gets cold enough, we'd swap out the sandal for a pair of tall cognac brown boots.

This Fall, look for lots of ruffled-trim hemlines on everything from bulky sweaters to sweatshirts.  It's a super trendy~uber feminine~new flourish for Fall fashion!
