Pink has always been the color that allows women to flaunt their girly side and the popular pinks of the season such as light carnation, dusty rose, and puce are certainly helping us flaunt it well. But sometimes, these pinks are so light that they barely lend any definition to an outfit. The simple solution to adding more outline and drama to your pretty pink apparel is to pair it with a touch of black at the bottom, middle or top.
In my first look I set black on the bottom by pairing this dusty rose bubble top with a simple black skirt.
With a solid black at the bottom of the outfit, our eyes focus on the pink novelty top |
How cute is this! Even the back is decorated with a big satin bow! |
For my second look, I put the black right in the middle of the pink by accessorizing with a black stretchy belt. Placing black in the middle brings out every detail of the dress without fail, and is balanced with little black flats.
YA Los Angeles dress $46, belt $22, Rocket dog silk flats (on sale) $29--entire look under $100! |
Such gorgeous detail to match a beautiful smile! |
For my last look, I combined ultra light shades of pink and cream, placing my black to the top of the outfit with a scarf.

So, ladies, show off those pinks this season with a bit of black to let your inner girly shine!
