Fabulous Fashion Friday: Beautiful Black & Tan

A new, rich color combination is gaining popularity for Fall: Black and Tan!  We are seeing gorgeous variations of this mix across all categories, so today we're featuring three looks~now in store~to show you how stylish and sophisticated you can look in this muted palette.  Central to our style today, is the use of black and tan prints juxtaposed with bright ivory solids to accent and balance the busy patterns.

 The Black and Tan Trouser
This effortlessly chic outfit consists of three things: geo-print black & tan trousers by MonoB ($36), a cotton crew neck tee by TresFemme ($16), and Madeline cork-n-patent black & tan platforms ($46).
We added a black & tan studded tote by Tosca ($46) and lots of black-themed  jewelry to finish the look.
Printed pants are dazzling and slimming, too!
We love the way the blocks of ivory balance all the busy prints.

The Black and Tan Shirt-Dress
Dresses with shirting details are huge for Fall.  They offer structure yet ease.  Here's one of our vibrant zigzag print tunics by MonoB ($42).
Notice the shirt-tail hem and cuffed sleeves.
This professional cut will transition easily for work.

The Black and Tan Maxi Dress
We're still at the height of maxi dress season, and this black & tan printed halter dress by Gilli ($42)  typifies this coveted trend.
The sultry black gemstone jewelry in these looks today are borrowed from our sister shop, Ponytail Jewelry Studio. The Black Onyx Triad Choker ($88) is by Mrs. Robinson's Affair; the Smokey Quartz triple-drop earrings ($49) are by Frankie Says Seattle.
We're thrilled at the finished sophistication of this outfit, given how effortlessly it is to put together.
Attending a wedding? Add a sheer, creamy white wrap to cover your shoulders in the church.
Pure cotton wrap scarf by Vivienetto, $22.
Who knew that black and tan with pops of ivory could look so bright!  Key to these looks, today,  is balancing the vibrating geometric prints with blocks of solid color.  Best news yet?  All of these looks (excluding the jewelry) are under $100, including the shoes :-)

Happy Friday, Kick It!
