Fabulous Fashion Friday: Canary Sings the Blues

We love combining deep blues with pops of Canary Yellow for an easy Spring combo that sings!  The base for each of our three looks today is a canary yellow silky cammie,  basic grey tights and both Kenneth Cole caramel leather booties and Steve Madden 3/4 Moto-boots. We borrowed some yellow-stones jewelry from Ponytail, and came up with three distinct looks for you!

No. 1: Team Spirit
Blue & Gold are common team colors so we thought this sassy mini-skirt meets dip-dye jean jacket combo would be great for a tail-gate party!

Notice the vibrant cascade of  blocks of color from top to shoe.

This chunky, multi-chain freshwater pearls choker by ShayD Design ($86, available exclusively at Ponytail Jewelry Studio) is fun, casual, with golden-yellow Heishi pearls to complement the look.

Casual & colorful was the effect we were going for.

No. 2: Mod Bod

This oversized textured tunic has a super mod shape, including a hi-lo asymmetrical hem. The fabric is nubby yet sheer so you can see the silhouette of her figure.  We added a huge canary yellow handbag by Tosca ($46, see below)  to complete this high-fashion~~yet ridiculously comfy~~ensemble.

"Excuse Me?"  Yes, you can definitely cop an attitude in this look ;-)

We love the roomy body of this dress. The light blue slubs in the fabric seem to sparkle and pick-up the bling on the boot!

We paired a 14K gold yellow Agate drop pendant by ShayD Design ($78) with a pair of LM Inspired deep yellow jade drop earrings ($38) for our pop-of-yellow in this look.

A giant, goldenrod yellow "fish scale" hobo bag by Tosca ($46) adds pizazz.  

Close Up:  This bag reminds us of mod style from the 1960's.  And, notice the blue bling on the boot, perfect!

No. 3: Nordic Princess 

And last, this sweet Navy-blue peasant dress with yellow Ethnic-print embroidery, flouncy sleeves and full-swing skirt would be perfect for the Nordic Heritage Parade in Ballard, Don'tch Ya Know!

The tan, flat booties with a dress adds a down-to-earth appeal.  You could do a jig in this look! 

This dress has great lines!  Notice the cinched in waist band and a-lined skirt and sleeves.

 What luck! Our yellow cammie provides a modesty panel, a pop of color and a shout-out to the little yellow embroidered triangles in the dress! Shown with ShayD Design's deep yellow agate drop pendant, 14k gold, ( $78). 

Lovely machine-embroidered print gives and old world feel to this dress, while the slit sleeves add a contemporary flair.
