With lengths of tops getting longer and hemlines on dresses getting shorter, we often get the question, "Is that a dress or a top?" Followed by, "How do you wear that?" Good questions! So I took two of Kick It's longer tops and one of their shorter dresses (aka "tunics") and paired them with leggings, shoes and jewelry, which begs the new question, "Who's that Girl?!"
Look #1: Burnout dolman sleeve tunic, layered over ultra long tee and leggings, with grey pumps.
The mango tee is so long that it works perfectly with simple stretch leggings. |
Gemstones "half moon" earrings by Alison Peltz ($48, available at Ponytail) |
Look #2: Amazing sage green mini dress with twisted back and rossette embellishment, over lace panel leggings.
The asymetrical cut of this top makes it just long enough to wear as edgy "mini-dress". |
Gorgeous lace leggings by YA L.A. ($26) |
Unusual twisted back on this two-layer top by Ina, ($46) |
Look #3: Lace-trimmed jumper over stretch jeggings with zippers (super simple look with a bohemiam feel).
If a dress is too short, layered it over skintight jeggings with heels, so it feels more dressy. |
Cute zipper detail. |
So in conclusion, if a dress is too short, or a top is long, layer it right over leggings or jeggings for a super cute, contemporary look that is both stylish and easy.
Make this YOUR Fabulous Fashion Friday!
Luv,
Imo
