Fabulous Fashion Friday: Geometrix

The geo-trend (geometric shapes and blockprint design) is hotter than ever and we've got three carefully calculated looks to liven up your Winter weekend wardrobe.

Building Blocks of Beauty
It's a simple equation: start with our basic black body con dress by Timing ($39) over tights and heeled booties for a clean block of beautiful! Add elongated sterling silver jewelry and a striped infinity scarf and voilla you are dressed for nearly any occasion.
We did some number crunching and determined that
Seattle style begins with three key elements: Black, Charcoal and Silver.
An outfit this clean and simple begs for big-buckle booties by Very Volatile ($98)
and a geometric clutch by Viva ($22).  Notice that the opaque grey leg creates a block shape too, as do the straight-edge sleeves & hemline!
You could totally wear this monochromatic outfit to Algebra class in the
morning, then meet up with friends for coffee that afternoon!

Perfect Equation
Lace Overlay + Pencil skirt hem - Zippers ÷ 3 = Gorgeous! This easy pull-on triple
blocked dress follows the same logic as Look #1 but is warmed up with a band of mocha.
The lace sleeve & shoulder adds a touch of elegance,
while the straight black skirt looks professional.
The lovely fine silver & gemstone jewelry by local designer "Vie Visuelle" was borrowed from our sister shop Ponytail Jewelry Studio ($102 for the set).
In trigonometry, triangulation can refer to the accurate surveying of
very large triangles.  In fashion terms, it means: "OMG that bag is fab!"
(Triangles Tote by Viva, $52).
You can easily winterize this look with the addition of a simple mocha
flyaway cardi by C&C ($36).

Trapezoidal Magic!
A trapezoid contains one diagonal side equal to the angle between the opposite side of the same diagonal.  When applied to a geo-dress with blocks of yellow it is nothing short of magic! (Geo-Dress by Mindcode $49; pewter leather Cowboy Boots by Diba, $142.)
Circle jewelry represents the eternal geometric shape.  We couldn't resist
decorating this geo-dress with sterling silver yellow-coated dapped circle jewelry
by Raincity Forge, ($118 for the set).
Geometrix = beautiful lines, lovely color juxtaposition, eye catching shapes.
The mod vertical band of solid black down the side is so slimming.
And the cowboy boots give the look a little extra kick!

*************
We did the math: geometric shapes and blocks of bold color really do add up to a winning formula!  Plus, each of the looks today begin with a stretch pullover shift. What could be easier! (All of the items shown here today are available in store now. Come Shop!)

Happy Friday Everyone!
