From the Archives: Fabulous Fashion Friday-July 8th: Modern Classic

The 1950's high-waisted skirt is making a comeback this summer and can be worn in a number of ways. It lends itself to a formal look because of the classic a-line shape, but paired with modern accessories it can look super edgy. Here's how to get both looks!

Look #1 Classic, Dressy:

Worn with a ruffled shirt, vintage heels, and a stunning necklace with matching earrings, the skirt becomes at once elegant and sophisticated.

Notice how the ruffles on the shirt compliment the ruffles on the bottom of the skirt.

And the beautiful gemstone necklace and earring combination is what really "finishes" a dressy outfit

This beauty borrowed from Ponytail Jewelry  is  handmade by LM Inspired, including the chain. (Price upon request)!

Look #2: Bohemian, Casual
Now for a more modern look, pair the skirt with a simple tank, sandals and a pair of feather earrings for a fun but super unique summer look.

The pops of red really helps to add a contemporary vibe!

Here is a close-up of the handmade feather earrings borrowed from Ponytail Jewelry. They are so much fun and work wonders paired with the bohemian dial necklace.
I love the lacy top!

With that being said, you can wear the skirt in style whether dazzling in a formal setting, or turning heads on a daily basis by pairing it with a funky jewelry.  The skirt is available in white and taupe (shown here) and also in luscious black!  It is 100% cotton so not only with you look good, you will feel great!

Vous ĂȘtes beau!
