From the Archives: Late Summer Updates

Though Seattle is just beginning to realize its Summer to the fullest, the fashion world is transitioning to Fall. Boots are on the water (as they say) enroute to American soil, color palettes are softening, sleeves are lengthening and layering pieces are ready for the cooler Autumnal weather that is right around the corner.

At Kick It, we are noticing the transition, especially seeing longer sleeves, darker colors, thicker knits and lots of black. Here's a snapshot of the start of our transition. We still have an emphasis on lighter fabrics and colorful garments, but slowly the blues, greys and neutrals are appearing, while pinks, oranges, yellows and purples gently fade:

This new arrival chiffon LBD (little black dress, $48) offers a peek at a huge trend for fall: "slashed" sleeves, that combine the sophistication of long sleeves with the sex-appeal of skin.

These darling Owl Pendants ($22) also just in remind us that nature might also be feeling the shift towards "nesting" season.

And, our new line of super cool sunglasses by POP Eyewear ($16) are dark and mysterious, just like Autumn skies.

COMING SOON: Lovely floral dresses with all the festivity of summer, but in new mooody hues of blues, browns, olives and burgundy to take you beautifully into the seasons ahead.
