FROM THE ARCHIVES: Fabulous Fashion Friday, Feb. 3: Pullover Sweaters are Seattle Chic

Oh, I just love today's look!  I picked an ultrasoft, fine guage sweater in two colors, layered over a grey base and with a few easy accessories for a pretty, professional and polished look. Here we go:

Start with a basic long-body cammie over stretchy microfiber leggings (the ones with just a tad bit of sheen) plus classic Mary Jane pumps.
This is the base of the outfit.  In fact, this combo can act as the base for dozens of looks.
Next, I draped a hot pink, long sleeve v-neck sweater in one size larger than normal to add volume and provide coverage over the leggings.
Mary Jane heels by Kenneth Cole, $86.
Make sure the top is long enough to cover the bare essentials ;-)
Add a lightweight cotton scarf withOUT fringe for a classic chic effect (fringe looks too Wintery, whereas  a fringe-less scarf feels Springy-er).
I still love the look of the underlayer peaking out below the top layer.

And here's the same ensemble but with a black sweater and similar patterned scarf.  I added a mixed metal long chain necklace to make it more feminine.

This geo-print cotton scarf is bouncy and fun. The nerdy glasses make her look super smart.
Try this easy look to help carry you through winter to Spring. Remember: start with the basic Seattle uniform (cammie and leggings), top with an oversized sweater and accent with accessories.  You'll truly be Seattle Chic!

Imogene
